I actually hope his two upper front teeth will stay till after his graduation, shh.. can't tell him that as he is very sensitive over his looks. His graduation photo (in graduation gown, I have not posted) did not turn out too nice as he looks a bit grumpy. He said the uncle said don't smile. I forgot to tell Ashrel beforehand can still smile naturally but with lips together. :P

Cherelle was the 'happiest' person in today's concert. She shared in her gorgor's joy. She 'performed' throughout the concert, sang and danced in every items. Many parents turned to look at her instead of looking at the stage :P

We are very thankful to Ms Yap for her patience and care towards Ashrel. She is his English teacher for 2 years. We spoke to her few times about our concerns (some incidents happened in school) and she really understands this boy of mine very well. Ashrel told me he is upset to leave Arise Kindergarten. I asked him why and he said, 'there is no more Ms Yap in primary one'.

Toothless Fairy

Teething record: Ashrel lost two bottom milk teeth and these have been replaced by two permanent teeth. He already have 2 permanent bottom pre-molars without us realising till the dentist told us. Today, he lost 1 of his upper front tooth and the one beside it is shaky. Some of his peers still have a full set of milk teeth. Cherelle said 'gorgor eat too much sweets.' (but not totally true as mommy is strict on that) :p

Our Plant

6 Oct: Mommy, Ashrel & Cherelle scattered the seeds and watered the soil. We are all excited and hope our plant will quickly grow..

17 Oct: Our plant is growing well. This is supposed to be 'si ji hua'. I saw Cheryl's grandpa beautiful 'si ji hua' and he was so kind to give me some seedlings.

This is our first 'home-grown' potted plant. It's mommy, Ashrel & Cherelle's project. Now our balcony can be put to good use and I use this to encourage Cherelle to drink more water (She dislikes water). I told her the plant is thirsty when it wakes up in the morning so it needs a cup of water to grow. When Cherelle wakes up from sleep, she needs to drink water too like the plant. The plant is even taller now but two days ago, the heavy downpour and super strong wind almost 'drowned' the young plant. Hope that it can survive, I am waiting for the sun to shine unto the balcony/plant.

Cherelle wanted to play with Caitlyn after school, but Lil' Cait fell asleep in the car and all the way back home. Thank you Aunty Cindy for the ribena, jelly (and I can't remember what else), no wonder Cher doesn't want to go home :P

Sentosa / Forum / Marche

We decided to visit Sentosa this morning since it is so near our place. We can see Sentosa, Resort World, and the cable car from our house.

Ticketing machine located at Vivo City.

So convenient to get to Sentosa now, just one station away.

It's such a sunny day. Ashrel was complaining it's too glaring and he could not open his eyes.

Zoo / Water Play

Our visit to the zoo today was not so much to see the animals but water play. Ashrel said, 'We can see the animals next time, lets' go water play'. And yes, they love this merry go round ride too.

Happy Children's Day / Dora Party

It's Children's Day today and there was no school. DH was very busy with work so he could not take leave. I decided to bring the kids to Vivo City for lunch and shopping. Before we left the house, I gave them a 'briefing', we set and agreed on the rules. This is a 'must' for them these days and they know that if they break the rule, we will head straight home.

Cherelle's favourite place for lunch: Sushi Tei. Since Ashrel also loves rice and is generally not fussy, we settle for Sushi Tei so that Cherelle can have a decent lunch. We come here so often until most of the staff there can recognise us, know our favourite seat and know what Cherelle likes to eat..

She wanted to wear the 'elephant' blouse she wore yesterday. She saw it on the pole in our yard and told me, 'elephant shirt is dry already, can wear, yeah'! I let her be, 'happy can already' :p She also requested to put on necklace and bracelets (I want 2). Typical girl..

We went to ToysRus after lunch. Cherelle spotted Dora and ran towards the small stage. We did not know it was a private party. Cherelle just ran past a small gap of the enclosed area and Ashrel and I just chased after her. The kids went on stage to take a picture with Dora & Boots.

When Cherelle asked for the backpack (door gift) which the other kids are carrying, then we knew it was a private party. The guy asked for our invitation card! but the nice lady said is ok, just give the cute little girl one backpack. Cherelle was very happy.

Today is Dora's birthday. The pretty 'Boots' & 'Dora' cupcakes is Dora's birthday cake.

Children's Day

Picture taken in the morning before she went to school.

The school celebrated Children's Day today so there was early dismissal. I brought her to Crystal Jade for lunch. Cherelle does not like to eat tim sum and she told me, 'mummy don't order rice for me, I am not hungry'. So I ordered beef porridge and shared with her. I ordered 2 tim sum for myself but I waited for an hour and told them to cancel the order.

She used to dislike taking pictures. Now she will pose for me..

See her curly hair.. She has her own opinions these days. When I bought the Mickey Mouse rubberbands, she insisted that both must be in different shade of pink.

She still likes Barney but nowadays she prefers Strawberry Shortcake and some others more 'girly' stuff.

Cherelle likes Clifford as she has a set of Clifford books at home.

Genevieve's 5th Birthday

Hello Genevieve, I am on my way..

It's a princess theme party but Cherelle does not have a princess constume. If I would to put her in one, she sure can't take the heat. She was in sleeveless cotton top and I can already see pespiration 'dripping'..

The happy Cherelle. Know why? See the french fries in between her teeth.. At first she was upset and did not want to participate in the activities. Reason, 'where is my gorgor'?

It's Pinatas time. Genevieve grabbed on to a ribbon and gave it to Cherelle to hold.

Genevieve took good care of her throughout the party. She even offered to let Cherelle stand right in front of her during cake cutting time (knowing that Cherelle is too short and she can't see the cake well). But I asked Cherelle to stand beside/behind instead.

This is Cherelle's another favourite jiejie, Jacqueline. She can carry the almost 12kg Cherelle steadily and many times.

The jiejie in white floral dress wanted to carry Cherelle and Cherelle firmly told her, 'I don't know you so you cannot carry me'. So 'attas' :p

As usual, Cherelle sang the birthday song loud and clear.

Happy 5th Birthday to Genevieve Jiejie. Cherelle was invited to Genevieve's MacDonalds party this afternoon. Genevieve is Cherelle's senior (K1) in school. They take the same bus and adore each other. Genevieve is very sweet and takes good care of Cherelle. She will share her snacks with Cherelle, help her down the bus, hold her hand and even carry her school bag for her. How can Cherelle not adore these jiejies (Jacqueline is another nice jiejie). Oh, Genevieve handed the birthday invitation card to Cherelle in the school bus one week ago. Cherelle did not understand what that was and refused to 'accept' the invitation. Genevieve went home crying! The mummy contacted me and I explained to Cherelle and she said, 'I want to go to Genevieve jiejie birthday party'!

Rock Climbing

We signed Ashrel for the rock climbing event at Youth For Christ (YFC) HQ. This was his first attempt to do proper rock climbing. The kind jiejies from Girls' Bridage and the volunteers gorgors were there to guide and help the children. At the end of the session, the gorgors and jiejies had a de-brief session with the kids and shared about Christ with the children. Thank God for these young people who are so enthusiastic to share the gospel and God's love. The children had a fruitful and fun time.

Cherelle attempted the rock climbing meant for younger kids while Ashrel and the rest went for the briefing.

'I reached the top, mommy take picture of me!' She actually asked daddy to let go of her but daddy did not feel safe as she was without safety gears.

So happy and proud of herself. Cherelle went up and down umpteen times till she asked to try the 'real' one.

Ashrel did not make it to the top. He wanted to come down. He told me it was so high and scary. He should have tried the one with a slope at the start as it was less tough.

Final check of the safety gears. In fact the gears were still too big on her, couldn't tighten anymore. But since she was so enthusiastic to go ahead, we did not want to disappoint her.

Coming down. She wanted to go higher but we didn't feel is safe as daddy would not be able to reach her in time should anything happen.

Mid Autumn Festival

Picture taken at our apartment skybridge. The full moon and night view was very nice but my camera is lousy under low light condition (time to get a new camera but don't know what is good yet compact).

Cherelle had 2 lanterns. The blue one she made in school and I put in the battery operated light for her. Daddy bought her the Hello Kitty one from Chinatown yesterday.

It's Mid Autumn festival today but was surprisingly quiet (even on our skybridge). Poor Ashrel tried a thin wedge of mooncake 2 days ago and had an allergic reaction immediately. DH bought snowskin champagne mooncakes for me from Raffles Hotel. I ate two tiny ones and fell a little sick with cough and sore throat. So today was a 'no mooncake' festival for us. I missed those days when I played with candles and paper lanterns with my childhood friends in the playground.

The show was quite interesting but I felt dizzy and had to close my eyes many times. After that we brought the kids for water play. It was 2pm, wrong timing for outdoor play as the sun was very hot. We left after half an hour.

I haven't been to the Karaoke for the longest time. I used to go with friends/colleagues when I was still single. Today we went to K-Box during the lunch hours. The kids were at first excited and grabbed on to the mic. I took a videoclip of Cherelle singing 'tong yao'. After a while, they got bored so the daddy brought them out. I spent almost 1.5 hours happily singing on my own.

In the morning we brought the kids to a National Day event held near our apartment. The kids did not really enjoy it so they went to the playground instead. After that, we went East Coast Park for cycling. The weather was so hot and humid that we could only cycle 45 minutes. We needed the airon badly so airport was the next best place to go. We were back home in the evening and saw the beautiful fireworks from our apartment. No photos as my camera could not capture nice picture of the fireworks.

The Kindergarten is having a Racial Harmony Day today. A big thank you to our dear 'GSN' Cindy for the red chinese constume and Caitlyn's mama for bringing the constume to school and helping Cherelle changed into it. I was not in school but was told that Cherelle was very happy. Cherelle's classmate, Adrienne's mummy took some nice pictures of Cherelle (thank you) and updated in facebook. We picked Ashrel up from school and wanted to bring the kids to the zoo. The weather was too sunny so we waited till about 3pm. Upon arrival at the zoo, the sun was still scorching hot. Cherelle did not have her nap and was a little tired. So we took the tram and headed straight to the Kids World. Cherelle was excited and no longer sleepy.

We invited some friends to our new place today and also did an early birthday celebration for Ashrel. I did not manage to capture many pictures. The kids were happily and busily running around. The adults were busy eating and catching up with each other. And there wasn't a single nice shot of our family as Cherelle was upset and refused to take picture. Reason being, I forgot to ask for an extra pair of plastic cake knife that must be exactly the same as Ashrel's one.

Happy 6th Birthday to Gareth! It was a nice breezy evening at Labrador Park. The kids had fun with the bubble guns that Winney brought along. I personally feel that this is a nicer place to have barbecue than East Coast Park (less crowded and more windy). The barbecue food prepared by (not the pre-ordered type) Winney and family was sumptuous. The well marinated chicken wings, the big fresh prawns that she specially bought from the market and everything were simply yummy!

This is Cherelle's schoolmate, Cheryl. She is one year older than Cherelle and is in the nursery class. Cheryl is our neighbour and she takes the school bus with Cherelle. Cherelle loves this jiejie who is so gentle and will always hold on tightly to Cherelle's hand while waiting for the bus. Even their names rhythm. By the way, all the jiejies in the school bus adore Cherelle and Cherelle adores them too. They take good care of her and even help her to carry the school bag.

This is the most recent picture of Cherelle that I took this evening. I like it so much as she was smiling for the camera. Her little update: She finally passed the 11kg mark few months back. She is a little less fussy with food these days and is ok with meat (not all type). I accompanied her up the school bus only once and she was perfectly fine from then on. She is quite a compassionate little girl. She prays for whoever is hurt or sick. When her classmate cries, she would talk to her, comfort her and give her a big hug. I always have this thought that it would be great if she is the jiejie and Ashrel is the didi :P. Last, she still has very little, fine and curly hair.

We are not in Genting Highlands but our new home. I took the first and second pictures during a rainy day and the mist covered the beautiful sea/Sentosa view and Mt Faber view. It was freezing cold. The last two pictures, I captured from the kids' room balcony. I saw the beautiful sights and quickly grabbed my camera. My camera is just a normal one else the pictures would turn out much nicer.

Second Day of School

I had to attend to some matters and her Daddy sent her to school today. He dropped her off at the assembly area and went off. He told me she cried a little but was ok.

I was at Raffles Place today and I went for 'hawker lunch' again. I opted for seafood and fish slice mee sua. Excellent choice! It tasted so good for only $3 with lots of very fresh ingredients. I like it very much, would go back again. While I was eating, the lunch time office crowd came and this stall had a very long queue. After lunch, I walked around at Raffles Place, hoping to find some interesting stuff that I could get for Cherelle. I did miss her. Nothing much and I bought bread again, worried she might be hungry.

Back to her school, I saw my little darling. As expected, she was first in the class queue being the most petite student. She happily ran towards me and started telling me everything about what she did today. The first thing she said was, 'I eat noodles and watermelon for lunch'! What she told me was accurate. The teacher commented she was very good today. She stopped crying after her daddy left and was very responsive in class. Her teacher feedback to me that she speaks and can express herself very well.

Well-done Cherelle! May you continue to enjoy school and may the joy of the Lord fills your heart everyday..

She again missed her nap and fell asleep at 5.30pm! I tried waking her up for dinner and she could barely open her eyes. She said, 'so tired', continued her sleep and missed her dinner. Two days of school must have tired her out..

She woke up at 8am the next morning, almost 15 hours of sleep.

First Day of School

Cherelle officially started school, Pre-nursery at The Capstone Kindergarten today. She looks absolutely adorable in her 'a little over-sized' XS uniform. When I dropped her off at the assembly area and said good-bye to her, she cried badly. I knew I had to let go. I took a peep, she was crying, 'I want mommy' and her teacher was carrying her. She was not the 'wailing' type, so I decided to leave after a while since they advised me not to follow her to the classroom.

What I did: I went to the Harbourfront hawker centre (I specially wanted hawker food), found a noodle store with fairly long queue, since I had some time and hopefully the food was nice. The dried mee pok tasted good and I could slowly enjoy my food. Next I went to Vivo Tangs and bought a set of pillow cases, walked around at Daiso, and bought bread for Cherelle in case she did not eat her lunch well in school. Went back to her school and was early.

She spotted me when the teachers brought the children down to the dismissal area. She was so happy and ran towards me exclaiming, 'I found mommy'! She looked very happy, no tears in her eyes. The teacher told me she was ok, cried a little but stopped after a while. Cherelle told me she had porridge and 2 oranges (should be two wedges) for lunch.

She was probably over excited that she missed her nap today. She fell asleep at 8pm. At bedtime, she told me, '1 boy cry, 1 girl Nicole cry and meimei cry'. And she was laughing about it. I knew she is and will be fine.

We shifted to our new place. That's why I went MIA for a while. Still busy with the unpacking. We like our new place, the convenience, the view and the wind. We are now 30 storeys higher than our old place. The kids love their new home especially their bedroom and new beds. Ashrel is very happy and commented our house is like a hotel (to him). His bed is placed right beside the balcony and he gets to enjoy the cool breeze and scenic night views. I am sure he will have sweet dreams..

I like these... Ashrel loves to pose for the camera. If he sees any nice background or interesting features, he would ask me to take picture of him. Cherelle on the contrary does not like to take picture. She either looks away or closes her eyes. Else she would stare at the camera with her round eyes but without a smile. ClubMed Bintan

We are back from our trip to ClubMed, Bintan from 18 to 22 December. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The beach is so beautiful and clean. Thank God that it only rained for 1 day throughout our 5 days stay. For the very first time, the brave mommy(me) and Ashrel went up the Trapeze. It was scary but fun (for me). Ashrel came down and told me, 'Mommy, next time don't ask me go trapeze again'. DH and I tried archery too. Cherelle enjoyed herself soaking/playing in the pool everyday. We took lots of nice pictures, would upload them soon.

Now that I look at the picture I took of the trapeze, then I realised that it's about 4-5 storeys high (compared it against the 3 storeys hotel in the background). No wonder when I was up there, I freaked out a little. And when the man gave me a kick off the trapeze, I think I screamed(a little). Imagine I was the one who 'pian' Ashrel up the trapeze a day before me and was telling him it is not scary. It's scary! but very fun.

Cherelle spotted a lady whose pants was a little low cut behind and revealed a little of her navy blue p...... Oh oh, Cherelle must have associated dark blue colour with briefs as her gorgor has such colour briefs. All the panties I bought for Cherelle are sweet pastel colour, mostly pink, purple etc and no dark blue.

Cher: Daddy, what are you doing?
DH: Daddy is looking for a parking lot.
Cher: Why you looking for a parking lot?
DH: To park the car so that we can go for lunch.
Cher: Why you go round and round the carpark?
DH: Because there is no parking lot.

Carnival at WCP

It was on 3rd October, Saturday that we brought the kids to WCP to fly kite. There was a carnival at WCP and the kids were elated. We had to rush to a party that evening so we went back again the next day to finish using the remaining tickets. On Sunday, Cherelle spotted a Barney soft toy at one of the game stall and she wanted it so much. We played the game but could not win the Barney as the water gun shooting game was tough. Cherelle cried in disappointment and the game master 'helped' us to win that Barney. Ashrel saw Cherelle's Barney and wanted the Carebear. So again, the game master 'helped' us to win the Carebear this time. We played some games, the kids jumped on the bouncy castle, Ashrel sat on the viking and Cherelle sat on the aeroplane ride. They had great fun but the daddy and mommy were exhausted and the weather was so hot on Sunday.

I have just changed the blog title to reflect the latest developmental stage of our two dearest children, AshRel and CheRelle. With God's blessings, they are growing up so fast and well. Ashrel draws a lot these days and his drawing pieces had won him an award and some were chosen for exhibition during his school's special events. He is very active, a little too mischievious these days but is always a sweet and innocent little boy. Cherelle is quite an opposite from her gorgor, tiny in size but 'mature' in thoughts. When someone hit/bully her, she will give the person a big hug. When I tell her anything, she seems to understand me very well. She is very chatty, loves to talk non-stop and sing.
They are just so special and ever so precious in God's sight and in our heart and life. Thank you God for dearest Rel & Relle...

Toliet Training (II)

Cherelle had class at KidsLoft yesterday. I did not feel 'safe' letting her wear panties to class since we would be out for few hours (I should have trusted my girl). She was a little moody in class and I did not know it was due to the 'panties' issue. Suddenly she cried, she told me she wanted her Mickey Mouse panties. Teacher Lavinia came to know about it and told Cherelle it was alright and asked Cherelle to put on her Mickey Mouse next week. Cherelle was happy again. After class, she told me she wanted to pass urine in the toilet. I brought her, her pull-up was dry and she pee into the toilet bowl. She came out and proudly exclaimed to teacher Lavinia that she passed urine in the toliet bowl. Her teacher praised her and she was very happy.

This afternoon, I wanted to change Cherelle to her diaper for her nap. She refused and told me she wanted to pass urine in the toliet. She did. Then she said to me, 'Mommy, I passed urine in the toliet already so can wear panties to sleep'! Ok, I trusted her this time. When she woke up, she said to me, 'Mommy, see I didn't pass urine on the bed'. And she went to the toliet.

We met up with Cindy and Lil' Caitlyn for lunch at IMM today. So conicidental, Cherelle and Caitlyn wore the same top (a little different in design) and same shorts. And both of them brought along their pink 'doll doll' and little handbag. So they kept saying, 'same, same'! Thanks to Cindy for her photo taking speed and we got a nice picture of them swinging on the bar at the playground. My picture was, 'Caitlyn was already down the slide'. :P

Toliet Training

I have tried training Cherelle sometime back but she was quite inconsistent so I stopped the training. Today, 3 November 09, I decided to let her put on her pretty Mickey/Minnie Mouse panties and start toilet training her. To my greatest surprise, she was able to tell me when she wanted to pass urine. We even went to the library with her on panties. There was no incidents at all today. On day 2 (yesterday), when I left her with my mom and went out for a while, there was an incident but was the only one throughout the day. In the evening, when we went out for dinner, she insisted to put on her panties (I had wanted to change her to pull-up just in case). I gave in to her request and she was able to tell me when she wanted to pass urine. Today she woke up with a dry diaper. The first thing she said when she opened her eyes was, 'I don't wear pampers anymore, I wear Mickey Mouse panties'! Then she told me, 'Mommy, I want to pass urine'. Well done Cherelle! I hope you stay consistent since you would be starting school soon (without mommy) in few months time.

40 Pieces Puzzle

This evening, Cherelle completed her 40 pieces puzzle. Well-done Cherelle! Yes, we are very proud of her, especially her daddy. As Cherelle was already very good with the 12 pieces puzzles, I decided to buy something more challenging for her. I saw the 25 pieces one but did not really like the picture. In the end, I saw some 40 pieces puzzles which I knew Cherelle would like. Each puzzle piece is quite small at about 1.5 X 2cm. The shop assistant told me that these 40 pieces puzzles are generally for age 3-4 years old and above. I also thought that they might be too difficult for Cherelle's age. But nevertheless, I bought three 40 pieces puzzles on Saturday. For Cherelle's very first attempt, I was pleasantly surprised that she could complete about one quarter or slightly lesser of the puzzle without any picture to look at (the puzzle does not come with a box). For her second and third attempts, she could complete more and more pieces. Today is Wednesday and she completed her first 40 pieces puzzle! We felt very happy and proud of her. When daddy first saw the puzzles I bought, he said, 'These are too difficult for her, why didn't you buy those 25 pieces ones'? But Cherelle proved him wrong. Now her daddy was telling me that we should consider buying her 70-100 pieces puzzles. I shall see how, would let her 'perfect' her skills on the 4 (daddy went to buy another one on Sunday) 40 pieces puzzles first. Ashrel and myself also needed some time to 'work on' these 40 pieces puzzles. Daddy, himself did not even want to try. But our meimei, Cherelle did it!
(I did not take a videoclip as I did not expect her to complete the puzzle today).

Cherelle and Her 'Friends'

Pooh Bear, Doraemon, Bear Bear, Pig, Gorgor's Bear (she named them) are Cherelle's good 'friends'. She plays pretend with them very often at home. They are her best playmates when gorgor is not at home.

She woke up from nap and I was busy at the kitchen. She took her friends from the bedroom and line them in a row. She took the can of goats milk from the table and asked, 'Who want to drink goats milk'?

'Mommy, take picture please'?

It was 8.30pm (before bedtime) and her friends kept her busy while I was watching TV. Soon she called out for me and asked me to take picture of 'them' again.

And she started singing, 'row row, row your boat'..

The next morning when she woke up from her sleep and after I changed her pyjamas, the first thing she did was to, 'row row, row your boat' again..

We had a breakfast date with Cindy and Lil' Caitlyn at KFC, Westmall today. Thank you Lil' Caitlyn for sharing your waffle with Cherelle. After breakfast, we went for a swim. Cherelle was so daring to go down the slide with me few times. She simply loves water. We heard thunder shortly and decided to head home. The two kids continued their waterplay in the bathroom. My mom was here and she prepared lunch for the kids.

It was a beautiful morning and Lil' Cherelle and Lil' Caitlyn had a date at West Coast Park. But when we reached there, the scroching mister sun came out. The kids played at the playground for a while and Cherelle decided to do dried leaves collecting and dropping (into the drain) under the shade. Soon after, we left WCP and went for lunch at Sushi Tei at West Coast Plaza.

I can't remember this is the number ? lesson. Today's art and craft was working with marbles and paints. Cherelle was elated when teacher Lavina brought out the parachute during music time. It's her favourite at all time. She was one of the most 'participative' student, happily sitting on and running to and fro under the parachute.

I bought many puzzles for Cherelle. She enjoys doing them so much that it has become part of her daily routine. Actually, I (and her daddy) do admire her patience and skills in completing such 'tasks'. Cherelle is progressing quite well with the more difficult puzzles we bought for her recently. I left my nursing wrap on the bed (I think was yesterday as Cherelle was nursing and fell asleep in the car so I came home with the wrap on). Cherelle was playing on my bed this morning and I went to the kitchen. When I was back, I saw her with the wrap over her head and she told me, 'Mommy, I feeding bear bear milk milk'. I quickly grabbed my camera to snap some pictures. And she happily smiled for the camera. So cute..

National Day Celebration

I felt so happy and proud of my dearest son, Ashrel, today. He won the 'Most Creative' award in his school 'National Day Poster Design Competition'. There were about 45 entries for K1 level and there were two special awards given. One is, 'Most Creative' and the other is, 'Most Colourful'. For these two categories, the judge was from NAFA. The parents who came for the event were also given a chance to vote for the 'Nicest' poster category. I (each family) was given four stars of different colours to vote for the PN, N, K1 and K2 entries. Of course for K1 level, I gave the vote to my boy. So on average, each of the entry should have at least one vote but some had none.. For the voting category, Ashrel had 4 stars/votes. The K1 winner had 6 votes. By the way, the 'Most Colourful' award was won by Ashrel's best girl-friend, Yixuan.

Today, I attended the National Day celebration held in Ashrel's school. I was all excited as Ashrel was performing in a speech and drama item, 'Creepy Crawlies' on stage. He dressed up as a spider and beside singing and dancing, he stood out to recite (said) a short verse. I felt so 'gan dong' during that moment. Ashrel, mommy is really proud of you. Together with his class, Ashrel also sang two National Day songs on stage, one in English, the other in Chinese. He has been singing the two songs at home everyday before the event, but I have forgotten to video it.

I bought some 12 pieces puzzles for Cherelle recently. She loves puzzles and after a few attempts, she could complete the puzzles. On good days, she can sit down and do three or more puzzles at one go. Today, I tried to video her doing her puzzle. A little help from mommy (just for 1 piece) and she completed the puzzle.
